Changing status of a card

Project team members often need to change the status of cards. For example a team member may wish to indicate that the initial analysis on a card is complete. Mingle has both manual and automatic ways of doing this.

The number beside each point corresponds to the respectively numbered call-out.

Change the status manually

  1. Team members can set up the appropriate card wall view and then drag and drop cards across swim lanes. This will update the property value (based on which the swim lanes have be drawn up). The swim lanes are determined by the "Group by" feature in the Grid view.
  2. Alternately, a team member can simply change the status of a card by changing its properties within the card. E.g.Change "Status" from, "In Analysis" to "Complete".

Use Transitions to automate your workflow

  1. Transitions allow project teams to automate the workflow. For example, when a Developer chooses the “Dev Started” transition, it can be set up to automatically change the status of the card from “In Analysis” to “In Development”. Further, Project Managers can choose to make the use of transitions compulsory, thus ensuring process adherence.
