Breaking down features

It is often useful to see all the stories involved in completing a feature. This can give BAs an idea of how much of the feature is complete and how much is left to be completed. Mingle’s card tree feature assists in such a feature break-down.

The number beside each point corresponds to the respectively numbered call-out.

Use card trees

  1. First create card types of "Story" and "Feature". Then create a new card tree which is configured as shown above.
  2. Add cards to the card tree and track stories by features using the card tree view.

Use aggregates

  1. BAs can create Aggregate properties to roll up metrics from stories into features. This will give an idea of how much effort is remaining.
