Greetings,
There’s a new Mingle bug fix release available (1.1.5516) for download that fixes some critical performance issues. We strongly encourage all of our users to install it as soon as possible. You can download the new installer from the same location that you obtained the 1.1 release.
Within this release we have fixed a number of issues, specifically:
- A memory leak which was impacting performance on most installations
- Mingle performance degrading over several days on many installations, ultimately requiring a restart. Also described in the post ‘Mingle gets slower and slower with time’ (http://studios.thoughtworks.com/discussion/forums/7/topics/252)
- A cookie conflict with Cruise Control (and potentially other applications using Jetty)
- Renaming of standard property values does not trigger a re-index of search terms
- HTTP Basic Auth being enabled was causing customers fronting Mingle with a proxy server to have issues. This has now been disabled by default. Also described in the post ‘Upgrade to 1.1 produces auth error’ (http://studios.thoughtworks.com/discussion/forums/4/topics/327)
Installation can be performed using the same process for the traditional 1.1 install: http://studios.thoughtworks.com/mingle/1.1/help/Content/installing_mingle/upgrade_instructions.htm
Thanks to all of you that have worked closely with us to troubleshoot these issues in your environments. Please continue to send along your feedback, as it is what continues to make the product great.
Regards, The Mingle Team
