It would be nice to have a complete editor so no manual XML editing is required.

Im sure thats a long way off.. in the mean time, add the functionality for:
Add Stage
Add Job
Add Task

@aabate—we know the XML configuration is painful, and the functionality you request (including add and edit) is high priority for us.

Totally agree that this feature is very important. It is the only thing hindering other teams in my company to adopt CC.Net and I thought the new Cruise would improve on this. mm.. Maybe they’ll have to wait then. I really hope you can get this done soon =)

 
Avatar Chris Stevenson Administrator 27 post(s) #2276 While we work on this Cruise does improve on the XML editing process in comparison to CC.NET that are not immediately obvious:
  • You can edit the XML on the web page for convenience
  • You can edit snippets of the XML, like a single Job or Stage (I used to get really lost editing the whole file)
  • Cruise will verify the XML before saving it, so if you have a syntax error all your builds will keep working and you will get a chance to fix it
